These terms apply when you use desertopalsjewelry.com or buy from Desert Opals and Fine Jewelry (“Desert Opals,” “we,” “us”). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.
Products and descriptions
Most of our pieces are one of a kind. We describe materials, sizes, and the artist or maker as accurately as we can, and our photos are of the actual piece. Stones are natural, so color, pattern, and shape vary, and handmade pieces can differ slightly from photos. Because each piece is one of one, an item may sell out, including in our shop, before your order is processed. If that happens, we will contact you and refund your payment in full.
Pricing and payment
All prices are in US dollars. Prices can change without notice, but the price you see when you place your order is the price you pay. Sales tax and shipping are calculated at checkout where they apply. Payments are processed securely by WooPayments, PayPal, or Clover; see our Privacy Policy for how your information is handled. We may cancel and refund an order we suspect is fraudulent.
Shipping
We currently ship within the United States, by USPS. Orders are typically processed within 24 hours. Standard shipping usually arrives in about 14 days, and expedited shipping can arrive in as little as 3 days. Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout, and orders of $99 or more ship free. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. Once an order is handed to the carrier, delays in transit are outside our control. Please contact us right away if a package does not arrive.
Quality and returns
Every piece is checked for quality before it is packaged. We offer a 14-day return window, counted from the delivery date. Our Returns & Refunds Policy is part of these terms. It covers how to return an item, final-sale items, and damaged or incorrect orders.
Accounts
If you create an account, keep your login details private and tell us if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no attempts to break or overload it, scrape it, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may block access if you do.
Our content
The Desert Opals name, logo, photographs, text, and design belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not copy or reuse them without written permission.
Limits of liability
The site and products are provided as described, and to the fullest extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version posted on the site when you place an order applies to that order.
